For sale: 1953 MG TC chassis # TD25961 (Listed 9/5/24)
A well performed restoration probably finished around 2019. The British Racing Green paint presents well and holds a very good gloss with only obscure sanding marks in a couple of places.
The seats are in great condition as is the top with side curtains having crystal clear glass. The interior offers new tan carpet with jute padding, bound edges and snap in attachments for easy removal.
The body presents straight and solid as does exposed wood. It rides on correct steel wheels with good tires and chrome medallioned hubcaps. Hubcaps show slight oxidation. The spare is older and has a folding chrome luggage rack enclosure.
According to some research, the engine is from a 1954 TF and is more than likely a 1500 cc engine. I do not verify that information, but I do have copies of receipts for engine and gearbox parts which includes a new crankshaft listed at over $2,600.
The odometer reads a low mileage of 500 miles +/- and I cannot verify the actual mileage. I do know the engines runs very well and plenty of power and the gearbox shifts smoothly and stays in place.

This vehicle has a 1979 two liter motor with a 5-speed transmission, high compression pistons.
- Has a new water pump, brake master cylinder and lines.
- The fuel tank has been removed, cleaned, and then coated.
