Christmas with the Spriggs
(The BBC Christmas luncheon – done extremely well!)
December 15th brought about the Blount British Car club’s annual Christmas luncheon. This year the venue was just a tad different as the luncheon was held at one of our member’s homes: Jackie & Joe Spriggs.
At first glance the Spriggs’ house and property was spacious with plenty of parking. The fact of the matter was that there were 30+ members present and the car park space was needed.
Of course, ample parking was just the first step as Jackie & Joe must have spent many hours decorating their lower level for this event. The volume of Christmas decorations and the detail in the tables, chairs and surroundings confirmed the amount of time and consideration they put into the preparation.
Jim Watson brought the turkey and the spread of food was fortified by members each bringing a dish. Was this a Christmas party or a Thanksgiving dinner? Turkey, ham, stuffing, potato, macaroni & cheese, salads, deviled eggs, fancy baked beans, etc., etc.,…..not to mention the desserts!
