Springtime in the Smokies, the annual gathering of European automobiles and motorcycles, is always held the second Saturday in May in beautiful Townsend, Tennessee. The event draws cars from all states surrounding Tennessee; as far north as Michigan, as far south as Florida, and from many other places in between.

For 2026 Springtime in the Smokies will be held Saturday, May 9th at Peaceful Side Social, Located in Townsend, Tennessee. For those planning on spending the night, a block of rooms is available at nearby Tremont Lodge & Resort.

We feel these new venues will provide an enhanced car show experience as we celebrate our 42nd Springtime in the Smokies show and we are looking forward to visiting with our old friends while making new acquaintances.

Entries have included British cars and motorcycles (and now German, Italian, French and Swedish) from as early as the 1930’s. Unusual entries have included amphicars and even an Austin Healey boat! Owners range from teenagers to senior citizens.

Blount British Cars, Ltd. has become a leader in the East Tennessee area by hosting a British car gathering each spring. The first year they “gathered” at Maryville College for British Day with sixteen cars. Since then, the annual event often includes more than 150 British cars. The British car gathering is now held on the grounds of the Talley Ho Inn in Townsend, Tennessee.

As in recent years, Blount British Cars is continuing its partnership with the English Auto Society of Knoxville in sponsoring the event. The English Auto Society of Knoxville (EAS) was formed in 1984. Its membership consists of enthusiasts of British cars – old and new, or who may not even own one. The EAS participates throughout the year with planned drives, member tech. sessions, and activities with other local clubs. Visit their website: englishautosociety.org.
